[Wikipedia]: PHP is an interpreted programming language (high-performance language), originally designed for creating dynamic web pages. It is mainly used for server-side interpretation (server-side scripting), but it can now be used from a command-line interface or to create other types of programs, including applications with a graphical interface using the Qt or GTK+ libraries.

In this video tutorial we are going to show you how to set up the Eclipse development environment so you can program in PHP. To test the PHP code we write, we need to have a local server installed, such as XAMPP, to interpret the code we develop. If you don’t have a local server installed, you can install one by following the steps in this tutorial: https://jarroba.com/instalacion-del-xampp-para-windows/.

To download and install Eclipse, you can also follow this tutorial: https://jarroba.com/instalar-bien-eclipse-un-ide-de-muchos/.

Once you have Eclipse and a local server (such as XAMPP) installed, you can start with the following video tutorial:

Below is the PHP code we wrote in the example of the video tutorial:

<?php
	for($i = 1; $i<=10; $i++){
		echo $i." - ";
	}
?>
