This code carries its content inside: it goes through no server and never expires.
Choose what to put in the code —a URL or text, a WiFi network, a contact, an email or a phone number— and fill in the fields: the QR is generated instantly. Download it as PNG (for screens) or SVG (to print at any size without losing sharpness).
The code carries its content inside: it goes through no server, so it works forever and offline. Many QR websites make «dynamic» codes: the QR points to an address of theirs that redirects to yours. If you stop paying, the printed QR stops working. Also, a generator that runs on its server sees what you put in: here your WiFi password never leaves your browser.
When scanned, the phone joins the network without typing the password. Special characters (; , : " \) are escaped as the format requires, which is where other generators often fail. The password is not stored in this browser: when you come back you will have to type it again.
In Read, drop, paste or choose a photo or screenshot with a code: you will see what it contains without opening anything. If it is a link, the real domain is highlighted and you are warned about the typical signs of «quishing» (a fake QR stuck over the real one, on parking meters or restaurant menus): no HTTPS, a URL shortener, an IP address, a domain with letters from another alphabet or a user@ that disguises the destination. If it is a WiFi network, the password stays hidden until you ask for it.
The correction level (L 7%, M 15%, Q 25%, H 30%) sets how much QR degradation is tolerated when reading it: more correction withstands more damage but increases the code's density.
You can change the colour, but readers need dark modules on a light background and good contrast. If you invert it or make it too light, you are warned: many phones would stop reading it.
