UTM parameters are tags added to a URL so analytics tools can identify where the traffic comes from. The main ones are utm_source (source), utm_medium (medium), utm_campaign (campaign), utm_term (term) and utm_content (content).
Enter the base URL (with http:// or https://) and the utm_source, which are required; the other fields are optional. The URL with the parameters is generated automatically and you can copy it with one click. Use the quick fill buttons to load typical combinations (email, Google CPC, social...).
Google Analytics 4 splits traffic into channels (Paid Search, Email, Organic Social…) with fixed rules that look at source, medium and campaign. If your link matches none, the traffic ends up in Unassigned and you won't know where it came from. Here you see the channel each URL will get and WHICH rule decides it, using Google's rules and official source list. Uppercase, spaces or personal data in parameters are flagged too.
